Siblings in Hengistbury Head

I’m so pleased to be able to share this session from Hengistbury Head a few weeks ago.  Even up until the last minute, we weren’t sure if we’d be rained off.  This last month’s weather has just been so temperamental.  On the morning of the session, we could see it was almost clearing and gave it to give it an extra hour to sort itself out and we were rewarded with beautiful soft light.

It’s close to where the family live and it’s a place they return to often to spend their time.

We started to walk up to top of the headland while Juliana & James ran on ahead, climbing gates and looking for cows. They both have their own way of doing things but they make quite a team for mischief.

This is Juliana.  She’s 7 and fearless. She’s ready to explore her world, knows that red sparkly nails make things more fun and that you should always take a friend with you to share the view.

She adores her Daddy and knows she can count on him to help her over the tricky bits.

James is the younger brother, running to catch up at first and then running ahead, seeing where his paths take him and how big the world could be. He’s about to start school this year and all the possibilities are just starting.

After a while, he needed to come back to recharge and be wrapped up in Mummy’s arms, cuddle in close and relax.

Juliana knows the importance of quiet time too and loves to hang out with Mummy and Daddy, telling them of about her adventures and tales.

This is exactly the sort of session I love.  We had a lot of laughs, we saw some beautiful scenery and you can really feel the warmth in the family.  Oh and the sun finally came out to shine too.
