Home and Hill

I loved this session so much and I’m thrilled I can finally share it with you.  A gorgeous pair of preschoolers, Anton & Christina, who just love to play together.

Anton tends to lead the way in their games, setting the pigs in the right positions at the table, while Christina looks on and joins in with the narration and quickly copies what she’s been shown. She’s  keen to start setting her own rules too and is learning how to do that.

They’re due to move house soon so before they started their next adventure, Anton & Christina’s parents wanted to make sure they’d captured some of the easy playful moments and the ways they spend their time in the home. There’s space to spin, tickle, scoot and race with buggies.  And with it, lots of laughing and warmth. Anton asked Mummy to wear his batman cape and it was a great choice. Such a superhero mum!

You can’t stay in all day though, especially with our stunning countryside on the doorstep, so for the second part of our double session we headed up to their local viewpoint. And what a view it was!  Shades of green softened with English hedgerows, hawthorn and that zingy patch of bright yellow oil seed fields. I can see why the family spend their time together up here. It’s peaceful & a bit wild, all at once but with easy walking for the smaller people (or for those who have to carry tired smaller people sometimes!). There was so much to see, do and explore.  We found beeflies, bugs and flowers, birds flying high and dogs along the walk.

Most of all, we found beautiful moments of love and stillness shared between the children and their parents.
