Summer holidays always look so long when they’re in the calendar and can feel so short when we’re finally enjoying them. It seems to take forever to arrange a family holiday. We make phone calls, send emails and make bookings for months ahead. But everything is worth it when you finally get everyone together, the sun is shining and you can finally relax and hang out with your favourite people. It’s just the best. I know how precious this time is so I was really honoured that I was invited to spend the morning with Sharlene’s family last month.
The whole family was visiting Dorset to celebrate Gran’s birthday and it was the perfect time for a session. Everyone was all together, relaxed and with nothing to do but walk in the gardens and enjoy themselves. Some of us ran.
We took a walk across the lawn with cousins Clemence and James stretching their legs, laughing and running down the paths.
James and his lion loved to ride together on his Daddy’s shoulders as we spent the morning wandering through the woods. We played Pooh-sticks in a stream we’d found and listened to the splashes of the little pebbles falling into the stream. Lion watched from the bridge. Gran helped Clemence to hunt a Gruffalo, although I think we must have just missed him.
And when it was nearly lunchtime, we found a daisy field to sit in for a while, blow bubbles and cuddle up.
Whether you’re on holiday here in Dorset or if you’re lucky enough to live near Bournemouth, we can find the perfect spot for your family photo session and take natural, relaxed portraits of you and your children.
Give me a call on 07989194574, email me [email protected] or leave me your details here to book your family’s session and we can start planning a great morning out that will give you special memories that you can frame.
